"Faith alone saves, but the faith that saves is not alone." ~John Calvin(?)
A very well phrased answer to the question, "How can we be saved by grace alone through faith alone if 'faith apart from works is useless/dead' (James 2:20)?"
If someone had asked me a few years back if I'd rather Casey Hersh started doing street drugs or Calvinism, I probably would have picked street drugs. :P
Kidddddddding. Although, for all my talk, this is perhaps an interesting read for you, showing how much similarity there can be between Catholicism and TULIP (tho' personally, my leanings are Molinist):

well done. romans 11:6 - "but if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace."

That, incidentally, has nothing to do with Faith/Works. I've been trying not to burn more than three or four heretics a week, and I'm past my quota.
